Catholic Daughters of the Americas, organized in 1903 by members of the Knights of Columbus to promote the social and intellectual standing of members and to render aide and assistance among its members, is the first and largest National Organization of Catholic women. Its motto is Unity and Charity!
Nationally, CDA has contributed to the support of Seminarians, numerous apostolic works and five side altars in the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC.
Court Santa Angela includes all the parishes in San Angelo, St. Therese in Carlsbad, and Our Lady of Peace at Goodfellow AFB. They have has promoted projects that include aide to Catholic Outreach, Habitat for Humanity, the Soup Kitchen, the Diocesan Seminary burse, Carmelite Monastery and Carmelite Hermitage.
The dues are $30 per year.
Membership is open to all practicing Catholic women 18 years of age and older.
Meetings are held the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
