The Knights of Columbus is an organization of Catholic men dedicated to Church, family, country and our fellow knights. Organized in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, a parish priest in New Haven, CT, the order has grown to over 1.6 million members in over 12000 councils following the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.
Locally, the Knights are well known for their Annual Thanksgiving HUNGER WALK, support for VOCATIONS and PRO-LIFE, and their contributions of time and talent to numerous religious and civic organizations including Catholic Outreach, Carmelite Monastery and the Hermitage at Christoval. In 2001 the Knights around the world gave more than $116 million and more than 56.7 million hours of volunteer service to a broad range of Church, community, family and youth charities, programs and activities.
Holy Angels Council 12008 was formed to: Provide support to the Holy Angels Parish and encourage members to take an active part in parish ministries and activities
The Knights are open to all Catholic men that have reached the age of 18 years and a practical catholic (i.e. receiving the Sacraments). Annual dues are $25.00 per year.
